PROBLEM OF THE PERSON’S APPEARANCE DESIGN: ORIGINALITY OR EUROPEISM

Abstract. The article examines the problem of the person’s appearance design in the modern world. Special attention is paid to the fact of the influence of European egocentrism on contemporary fashion, in particular, the influence of the post-modernist project. The use of the elements of the traditional costume in modern clothes taking into account moral and aesthetic components is proposed. The necessity of the deep study of the folk costume giving an opportunity of understanding the spiritual essence of our ancestors’ culture is emphasized.
