Abstract. The article deals with theoretical principles, methodological techniques and recommendations aimed at revealing regularities in experimental scientific studies, according to which natural and socio-economic processes are established and developed. It is shown that they are expressed and interpreted in the most reliable way by the method of nonlinear functional-factor regression combining their determinism and statistical randomness. Two examples of revealing regularity are given.
