ROBOT "PARROT" FOR CULTURAL AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS

Abstract. The article examines informational robotic objects, which are distinguished by simplicity, high informativeness, low cost, high reliability, the absence of intellectual elements and promote children’s all-round education and development. The author provides a block diagram of the robotic construction "Parrot" and describes briefly its internal and external control modes. The external control mode is especially efficient while working with children. To make the construction more entertaining the researcher introduced an additional operation mode "Mimicry" that starts automatically when a child comes right up to the robot.
