TEENAGERS’ MOBILITY IN URBAN SPACE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF VLADIVOSTOK CITY)

Abstract. The article examines the mobility of modern teenagers in urban space. Mobility is interpreted as movements in urban environment. The city as everyday space provides children with the resources for self-development, simultaneously producing risks. The empirical material of the research is gathered by the projective methodologies "Incomplete Sentences" and "Places I Know". The study was focused on the teenagers (12-13 years old) residing in Vladivostok. The findings identified the prevalence of organized mobility over the free one, the frequency of the route "home - school", the change of the teenagers’ routes in days off, the use of formal social spaces for entertainment.
