TOY AS A PHENOMENON OF EVERYDAY CULTURE: PROSPECTS FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES

Abstract. The toy is considered as a cultural universal, which is present equally in the children’s world and the adults’ world, has a historically changeable functional specific. The paper interprets the basic trends of studying the toy as a phenomenon of everyday culture from the viewpoint of interdisciplinary approach. The author points out that while interpreting and systematizing facts about the toy a crucial role belongs to such scientific disciplines as culturology, sociology, psychology and pedagogics.
