Abstract. The paper analyzes the possibility of using a variety of the computer models of the single-phase transformer presented in Multisim environment in a laboratory practical work for students. For a laboratory practical work it is advisable to use models enabling to determine their options according to the passport data. The authors give the transformer equations, on the basis of which the T- and G-circuits of the transformer are obtained. Basing on the substitution G-circuit a computer model of the transformer is constructed. The parameters of the computer model are calculated according to the transformer passport data. The proposed computer model is used in educational process in the study of the subjects "Electrical Engineering" and "Electrical Engineering and Electronics" in a laboratory practical work in order to study the single-phase transformer in the virtual computer laboratory.
