Abstract. The article discusses the methodology of modelling radio signal fluctuations in satellite radio link on the basis of Markov chain with N+2 states that takes into account the combined influence of various meteorological effects on the radio signal transmitted in satellite radio links. The authors give a classification of the existing models of radio signal fluctuations and their brief description.
