INTENTIONAL PECULIARITIES OF MEDIA TEXT IN GLOSSY MAGAZINES

Abstract. The article deals with the media text of glossy magazines. The author describes the stable characteristics of the magazine media text, studies the peculiarities of the discourse of glossy editions, and reveals the basic intentions of the media text, such as the ones of informing, entertainment, influence. In the author’s opinion, the media text is a poly-discursive formation characterized by specific strategies and concepts, among which the researcher highlights the strategy of manipulation and the concept of success.
