Abstract. The article raises the problem of radical ideologies of the modern society as a product of the individual’s distorted need for security. This phenomenon is associated with social-turbulent processes and is considered by the example of ideological positions of ultranationalist movement and transhumanism. Acutely felt need for security is rooted in social existence of the individual, therefore the author proposes extension of the security issue at the expense of inclusion of socio-philosophical and philosophical-anthropological aspects.
