SELF-PRESENTATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE SOCIAL NETWORK "VKONTAKTE")

Abstract. The article considers characteristic features of the concepts of self-presentation and social identity of an individual in the Internet space. By using the means of the personality’s self-presentation in a social network profile the types of self-presentation of young users are explored, as a person is given an opportunity to present his/her individual image among the participants of the network audience. The results of the sociological survey are obtained with the help of the method of content analysis of the hypertext of users’ profiles of the social network "VKontakte".
