VISUAL RANGE OF RUSSIAN ABC-BOOKS: MASS EDITION IN THE 60S OF THE XIX CENTURY

Abstract. The article analyzes the features of the visual range of the materials of the 60s of the XIX century intended for mass literacy teaching. The author describes the methods of the visual range organization in mass materials for literacy teaching and typical graphic means, determines their role at different stages of primary education. It is shown that the system of graphic symbols in mass teaching materials of the 60s of the XIX century went through the stage of its development gradually improving.
