Abstract. The aim of the paper is to determine the diagnostic significance of the concentration of TGF-beta in patients with very early premature birth. In the course of the research it is revealed that in patients with very early premature birth the concentration of TGF-beta is authentically higher. As a predictor of very early premature birth this diagnostic test has middle quality as its sensitivity is 52%.
