Abstract. Upbringing of the teacher’s moral culture is a vital task of professional training. The modern educational system needs a spiritual rebirth of advanced domestic traditions, thorough study and creative use of the historical experience of comprehensive, professional and spiritual culture. The spiritual and moral potential of the teacher is one of the main functions of his/her professional competence.
