Abstract. The article aims to analyze the motive of dream in the novel "The Clock" by Aleksei Remizov. The author argues that the motive of dream is an important structure-formative element of the mentioned work. The paper shows the tendency of the writer to "revive" objects. The theme of reviving objects closely associates the problems of the novel with the idea of the relativity of time, with complicated relations developed between the present and the past. The author also focuses on the bi-aspectual nature of the novel, which is associated with the opposition of the world of dreams and fictitious reality.
