PHENOMENOLOGY AND POSTMODERNISM AS BASIC APPROACHES TO STUDY OF ETHNOFUTURISM

Abstract. The article undertakes an attempt of the analytical review of studying ethnofuturism practices, analyzes phenomenology as an approach to the study of ethnofuturism; and determines the main similarities and differences of ethnofuturism and philosophy of postmodernism. The works of two main ethnofuturism theorists are analyzed as the sources: by E. M. Kolcheva (Mari El) and by V. L. Shibanov (Udmurtia). Ethnofuturism as an object of scientific research has existed for not so long, that is why material on the methodology of its study and understanding is rather limited. Basing on the analysis of the available researches of ethnofuturism as a direction in art and literature the author raises the problem of finding his own methodological approach to study ethnofuturism in terms of the ethnologist as a broader concept and system phenomena in the ethnic cultures of Russia.
