ENGINEERING AND GEOMETRICAL TRAINING OF STUDENTS OF TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENTS: STATE, PROBLEMS, PROSPECTS

Abstract. In recent years in native technical higher education establishments there has been a tendency to belittle the role of engineering and geometrical disciplines that make up the foundation of engineering training. Significant decrease in the volume of training hours has occurred, in most higher education establishments descriptive geometry as an independent discipline has been abolished. Under the pretext of the implementation of computer technology attempts to remove engineering graphics are made. In the article the problems of engineering and geometrical training in modern conditions are identified, and the ways of their solution are outlined.
