Abstract. The article deals with the problem of child’s labour use in industrial production in the Russian Empire at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. In this context the author studies the percentage ratio of adults’ and children’s labour in various branches of industry, a legal framework that regulated child’s labour, and the fulfillment of its norms. The research revealed numerous violations of juvenile workers’ labour rights and a tendency to increase a part of child’s labour at hazardous production facilities in Russia during this period.
