Abstract. The article discusses the methodology of teaching the section "Vector Algebra" to the first-year bachelors of the direction "Mathematics" of the pedagogical institutions of higher education in "Geometry" classes. The paper presents and deals with the most difficult moments of the section, where students can make serious mistakes. The author shows connection with school geometry course and with the discipline "Algebra" studied by students already at the institutions of higher education, as well as the overall propaedeutic role of the section.
