TEXTURE ORGANIZATION OF CHORAL ARRANGEMENT OF THE BASHKIR KYSKA-KYUI (SHORT TUNE) "ИР?НДЕК" BY SOLTAN ??B??I

Abstract. The article deals with some features of the author’s style of S. ??b??i, the Tatar-Bashkir composer of the 30-40s of the XX century, who was undeservedly forgotten and now is rehabilitated. In the context of the main theme the works of musicologists, which differentiate the terms "monody" and "modality" with respect to oriental music cultures are cited. In the process of the analysis of the choral arrangement of the Bashkir folk song "Ир?ндек" the author traces the development of modal principles formed on pentatonic scale by S. ??b??i.
