WHEAT AND ITS WILD CONGENERS: 1. COMPARISON OF MORPHOGENESIS OF SPECIES T. BOEOTICUM (L.) BOISS. (GENOME A b) AND AE. SPELTOIDES TAUSCH. (GENOME G)

Abstract. The article presents the evidence of the long-term studies of the morphogenesis of the diploid species T. boeoticum (L.) Boiss. and Ae. speltoides Tausch. - the descendants of the carriers of A b and G genomes in the genus Triticum . The analysis of the material has shown that the architectural model of the formation of the plants Ae. speltoides is the same as of T. boeoticum : the leading role (both structural and regulatory) belongs to the main shoot apical meristem, but in the processes of the regulation of the compared species morphogenesis there are some differences.
