Abstract. The article discusses the role and place of marketing in the start-up development process. The author discovers the basic characteristics of venture market, identifies and describes three main types of innovative accelerators. The paper analyzes in detail start-uppers’ mistakes and shows the structure of the start-up business model. Relying on the study findings the researcher proposes to focus on the marketing element of a start-up project at all the stages of its implementation.
