Abstract. The article examines the methods and results of the experimental study of noise spectrum nature at high-speed timber milling at modern NC-controlled woodworking machines. Relying on the findings the author concludes that noise spectrum at high-speed timber milling acquires evident tonal nature with hardening the processed timber, raising the spindle rotational speed and reducing the number of the teeth of the mill.
