Abstract. The article discusses the possibilities of the "Professional Foreign Language" discipline for future engineers’ professional competences formation. The authors show, which aspects of professional skills can be developed by means of a foreign language. The set of communicative skills that are relevant for the engineer’s professional training is determined.
