Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "creativity" from the viewpoints of various conceptions, theories and approaches. The multidimensionality of the notion "creativity", as well as the absence of the unified and distinctly formulated definition of the notion at the moment can be considered as a substantiation of appropriateness to study this issue. In the work the author analyzes the main theoretical approaches to the study of the nature and structure of creativity serving as a powerful factor in the personality’s development.
