HEALTH INVESTMENTS AS ELEMENT OF INDIVIDUAL HUMAN CAPITAL: BY THE EXAMPLE OF VOLGOGRAD REGION YOUTH

Abstract. The article analyzes the directions and amounts of investments at individual level into health as an element of the human capital of young people in modern Russia. Some results of the sample survey of Volgograd and its region population aged 16-30, related to investments in their own health, are presented. The basic directions of individual investment activity that require adjustment to improve the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of youth human capital in modern Russia are determined, in particular, such element of this capital as health.
