Abstract. The article discusses the issues of calculating thin-walled beams, reinforced with carcass elements, outside the local stability of walls, which perceive normal and shearing stresses. The design conditions of the constructions carrying capacity loss are considered and the algorithm for the approximate calculation of the cross-sections parameters of leaf and carcass beam elements is proposed that allows its use in the tasks of optimization.
