Abstract. The article discusses some of the problems of the skills and abilities formation of the students of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs institutes of higher education in the process of learning combat fight techniques. The authors reveal that the skills and abilities formation in the process of combat fight techniques study is carried out due to the evaluation of the students’ motorial-coordinate abilities, the construction of the training model, the management of the psychophysiological process of training, general physical and special exercises provided by one or another section of combat fight techniques.
