LENINIST KOMSOMOL AWARD ESTABLISHMENT AND PRESENTATION AS WAY OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND STIMULATION OF USSR YOUTH

Abstract. The article considers the history of the establishment and presentation of the highest youth recognition symbol in the USSR - Leninist Komsomol Award. Analyzing the history of awards establishment by the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, the regional committees, krai committees of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic Komsomol, the Central Committees and regional committees of the Leninist Young Communist League of the union republics, the author comes to the conclusion that Leninist Komsomol Awards presentation didn’t only perform the functions of encouragement and stimulation, but also facilitated the development of science and art, was the element of the ideological influence and the part of the soviet state youth policy.
