PROBLEM OF MOTIVATION OF GENERATION Y: HOW TO ATTRACT AND RETAIN YOUNG WORKERS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the basic features of the generation of young people born in 1980-1990. Employers should take into consideration these features under young workers’ recruitment, adaptation and motivation. It is shown, which qualities that have formed under the influence of various economic, political and social factors, are the most common among the generation Y . Basing on the analysis the author puts forward a number of proposals for the implementation of effective human resources policy aimed at attracting and retaining promising young personnel. The main advantage of the work is in the fact that the data, in the first place, are structured according to the principle of informativeness and relevance and, in the second place, are supported by the results of a sociological survey conducted in 2014.
