Abstract. The article considers radiation situation in Karaganda. In this context, the results of measuring the equivalent dose rate of external gamma radiation in different parts of Karaganda are presented to estimate the level of natural radioactivity. The measurement of equivalent dose rate was carried out using the dosimeter ДКС-АТ121 in 62 spots of Karaganda.
