UKRAINIAN FOLK CHOREOGRAPHIC ART AS FORMATION WAY OF NATIONAL-ORIENTED PERSONALITY (IN THE LIGHT OF STRAUSS-HOWE GENERATIONAL THEORY)

Abstract. The article considers the Ukrainian folk choreographic art as a formation way of nationally-oriented personality. The generational theory of the American scientists W. Strauss and N. Howe was chosen as means of analysis. Based on the sociological survey conducted among the participants and leaders of folk choreographic collectives the main divergences, explained by the difference of the basic values specific to each generation, in the understanding of the folk choreographic art role as a method of national-oriented personality formation are identified.
