Abstract. In the article attention is paid to the importance of voluntary-adolescent youth theatre for forming different sides of students’ social competence that is widening pupils’ knowledge about modern society, their familiarization with social values, the development of children’s communicative skills etc. The necessity of pupils’ voluntary theater functioning as a social and educational technology is grounded. The recommendations concerning pupils’ theater organizing, functioning and evaluating are given for teachers. It is emphasized that voluntary theater is an important means of the harmonization of the personality’s and society demands.
